How to Actually Find a Job in Taiwan as a Foreigner: Job Boards, Tips, and Networking

by thefanggirl

Taiwan is a beautiful place to work abroad and live. Here are some ways I’d go about looking for a job in Taiwan if I were to start my process.

Check out these popular job listings

Cake Resume – a platform to job search, update your resume, create a portfolio, and talent search

104 Job Bank – For engineering, local Taiwanese companies and headhunters are mostly on 104

Yourator – a job board platform that has interesting companies (that hire in Mandarin though)

GO.104.COM has interesting technical jobs in big tech.

Network and Chat with Taiwanese Americans because of their Network

Taiwanese Americans are interesting because they straddle the world between Taiwan and US. Most likely, they have a strong tie to Taiwan due to their parents’ upbringing, cultural or government programs (like Love Boat), or have gone back every summer to visit relatives. The community is quite tight-knit and has a strong network across both countries. I would recommend tapping into their networks to see what’s out there, especially if they already work in bigtech. There are some professional organizations that you can also join and see.
