How I Don’t Get Sick on Long Haul Flights to Asia

  1. I wipe down the equipment using antibacterial wipes. There’s been someone sitting in your seat previously, who you don’t know if they washed their hands or is sick. Make sure anything you’re touching is clean!
  2. I sometimes will wear a mask, depending how I feel. If someone near me is coughing or sneezing a lot, I will definitely put on a mask. Because I feel suffocated wearing a mask, I will try to opt out of wearing one.
  3. I take a lot of supplements and vitamins before and during my flights. This is to boost my immunity and help me fight anything in case I catch a cold or virus while on the flight.
  4. I always remove my makeup when I’m going to sleep or when I’m on a long haul flight – I do wear mascara sometimes, so I need to make sure my makeup is thoroughly off to avoid styes (eye pimples). I make sure my face is clean and bear, so it also can breathe and rest while I’m sleeping.
  5. I drink water to keep hydrated.
  6. I wear comfy clothes, almost pajamas, to keep myself sane and comfortable. I get gassy on flights, so need to wear loose fitting clothes around my waist.
